Life Savings insurance

Life Savings insurance is the life insurance cover a credit union provides for its eligible members as an additional incentive for them to save regularly in the credit union. The amount of insurance benefit to which a member is entitled is in proportion to the amount of savings the member has, and depends on the member’s age at date of lodgement. A member is eligible for the insurance cover carried by the credit union if when he/she saves he/she is:

* Under the age of 70 years
* Actively at work, or if not working, in good health.

In the case of joint accounts both account members are covered.

Once earned, the insurance remains in force - as long as you leave your savings in the credit union.

Death Benefit Insurance

Members of Tallow Area Credit Union are covered by our Death Benefit Insurance (DBI).

The Credit Union will pay €1300 towards the cost of funeral expenses on the death of a member, to help with the financial burden at a time of sadness.

Charlie Cent

Our "Charlie Cent" savings scheme encourages children to save.

The stamps are sold in the six primary schools in our "Common Bond" area with the co-operation of the teaching staff.

Financial Counselling

Members with a money management problem can avail of the Credit Union's vast knowledge and experience. All consultations are in strict confidence.
